Mission Statement

The LaBelle High School (LHS) Robotics is an after-school STEM program that seeks to inspire and nurture the next generation of great minds by providing students with resources and mentorship opportunities as they collaborate to take on a wide variety of challenges within the world of robotics. They are tasked with successfully designing, building, coding, testing, refining, and operating a unique robot to compete in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competitions, or FTC for short. LHS Robotics team members are not only ambitious high school students who are passionate about elevating their creative problem-solving skills as they engage in real world design problems, they are career-minded individuals who wish to build real world skills and knowledge in computer programming, structural and electronics engineering, fabrication and business development. This team endeavor, as well as through the team’s involvement in the nationally recognized FIRST Robotics Competitions, will help studentsacquire competences in real world STEM and business skills, they will achieve valuable life skills including innovation, self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
